Depression feels like the absolutely venomous mental state for anyone in his 20s. Teenage period is the make or break time of our life.

It is the worst thing that can happen to any teenager’s mental health. Teenage Life is short and supposed to be enjoyed at its best everyday but what happened when you are in depression is exactly the opposite — Everyday is no less than a hell.

You tend to kill everyday with all sorts of Negative — Un-constructive thoughts running riot in your mind. Emotions — Feelings — Love, All of them go haywire. This can turn out to be the most bitter experiences of life.

Person tend to get absolutely negative in his thoughts. Thoughts become Words — Words become actions. Actions further induces more Negative thoughts. And its difficult to get out of this vicious circle of hell.

  1. Positivity is the Light — The essence of happiness — Life feels bliss, when we are positive & poisonous when we are negative. Negativity when persists induces paranoia.

That’s where we enter the trap of self — destruction. Even when the other person happen to have compassion for us and want to help us, We just don’t let him to do that. We doubt everyone and anyone around us.

2. We lose all our WILL POWER to over come obstacles. This is the reason person is prone to addictions/intoxications during these times.

Yes We know that we are having excessive intake of alcohol or smoking too much but it’s beyond our reach to limit it. No amount of advices or self realisation comes to our rescue.

3. Indecisiveness & Indiscipline.

Falling prey to temptation becomes the norm.

Discipline means doing that necesary thing which even you don’t like to. Ex. Waking up at 6 and going for a walk. Forget about waking up, you may not fall asleep in the first place. Constantly we put our mind at work stressing about Unknown Fear and acclimatising Imaginary situations.

4. We lose our Social circle — We don’t like to meet people in first place or even if we want to we repel them away through our negative vibes. This is the reason that depressed people feel paranoid about the world failing to realise that they themselves are putting away our most beloved family & friends.

Negative vibes arise from your own Negative Thoughts — Unpredictable — Overly Sensitive Behaviour — Unrealistic Expectations — which at times are just not possible to be tolerated in the community, need to understand that that none of us in these times has the compassion of the Lord Budha.

5. We lose our Focus and Interests. We all have a love for one or the other thing. We all have various interests and passions to follow, But what seems bizarre that all of a sudden we tend to lose all our interests and can not focus on our passions. This happen for a reason that we lose all our self confidence and self respect too. We start comparing ourselves with others constantly degrading our motives and intent, failing to realise that we are axing our own feet.

This many a times give birth to Inferiority complex and Inflated Ego. Remember losing self respect is no humility!

Almost everything complicated has a simple solution. Coming up next, How to fight depression.
