Many of our new year health resolutions have never worked, be it for diet or exercise or lifestyle. This has happened for a simple reason that we could not stick with them for a considerable amount of time. And why we could not stick with them is because all these plans were too complicated to be followed.

Let us know simplify & be more realistic with our health resolutions so that we can stick to them effortlessly.

  1. STAY HYDRATED

The motive here is to maintain the right water content in our body — keep ourselves hydrated so that toxins from our body can be flushed out easily and often. What are the various ways to do this -

  • Drink more water, the obvious choice
  • Have high water content foods - Fruits, Juices & Salads
  • Consume more dairy products — Milk, Curd, etc

2. EAT RIGHT

Eat to your satisfaction during day time but half of your satisfaction after sunset. This is for the reason that digestion slows down after sunset — The biological clock factor!

Take my advise, skip the evening meal & see the wonders. But, Go slow and gradual enough not to distress your mind as our mind takes time to adjust.

When we overload the stomach during night time — our stomach can not devote much time & energy to cleanse our system and remain being preoccupied with the digestion process only. This situation when persist for a longer period of time paves the way for all gastro-intestinal disorders be it indigestion, constipation, acidity, etc.

3. WALK WHENEVER POSSIBLE

Walking by far is the most simplified form of exercise, that can do wonders. From our backbone to internal organs, it keeps all in good state of health.

We may not be able to go out for walk every morning or evening at a designated time.

But what is definitely possible is simply walk whenever we can. Avoid using escalators — lifts — walk whenever you may get the opportunity. Take the stairs — whenever possible. Visiting a nearby grocery store — walk.

4. MAINTAIN PERSONAL HYGIENE AND CLEANLINESS

Let’s keep ourselves & our surroundings absolutely clean & clutter free.
Maintaining hygiene and keeping our surroundings clean and clutter free has a big psychological effect on us.

We tend to be more positive & organised with our thoughts when we keep good personal hygiene and keep our surrounding clutter free.

Remember, Our thoughts becomes words — words become actions. Lets keep our thoughts positive and stay mentally healthy.

5. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS

Peeping into other’s lives and business (uninvited) is the worst thing we do.

Everyone comes across various problems every now and then & then we start making the other person uncomfortable through with our gossips — back biting and all sorts of that stuff. Let’s be more human and decide not to inflict more pain to the one suffering. Lets be more compassionate.

Well, the psychology says we do peep into other lives for the reason that we want to run away from our own issues plus we want to make other person embarrass as it satisfies our inflated ego in a way that we are doing good than the other person. This is nothing but the sign of psychological sickness.

Through such acts, we inflict more pain and negativity on ourselves only. It badly disturbs our mental health.

What goes around comes around. Send out positive energy and positive comes back too.

This is it for now. Stay Happy, Stay Healthy!
